Our first newsletter of the Decade of Action for People and Planet showcases our Nepali pilot project, ‘Rain Communities’. Exchanging hydro-wisdom is key to this initiative, which advances SDG 13.1.

Exchanging Hydro-Wisdom - I

We are explaining Integrated Water Management to the communities living in the Kaski District. Do watch how we are engaging with them!

We are also listening to these communities' local knowledge, and using 3D maps so locals can help us to identify springs and other water features in their catchments. > Read more

The 36th AGUASAN Workshop on 'Accelerating IWRM in times of Climate Change' takes place from 29 June to 3 July 2020, (Zahlé, Lebanon).

 

Rainwater Harvesting Courses

In Collaboration with IRHA, Florence’s Water Harvesting Lab are offering one place for a MSC thesis and funded internship in Nepal.

Funding Opportunities

The French Development Agency ADF is offering funding for NGOs to implement water and sanitation projects in Sub-Saharan Africa. Applications by 15 May, 2020.

UNDP Zimbabwe is inviting CFPs to establish climate-smart landscapes in the country's lower Zambezi region. Applications by 20 March, 2020.

Microprojects in the field of water and sanitation can receive funding from the AMP. Applications by 31 March 2020.

There is also a 40 million dollar pot for water and sanitation projects in Africa.
